Meaning of the name jesus : The name Jesus means God’s Salvation , The Savior and is of Greek origin.

Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name (yēšū́aʿ)   , which also translated as Modern name Jeshua or Yeshua in some English editions (the former appearing in the King James Version). It is most commonly used as a given name in Spanish speaking countries.

In another sense  jesus is a religious figure whom Christians consider to be the son of God and call “Jesus Christ” in the belief that he is the Messiah, and whom Muslims believe to be a prophet.
